About the IAH Detention Center

Available Positions

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following roles:

• Detention Officer – Responsible for maintaining safety, security, and order within the facility while supervising detainees.
• Case Manager – Provides support and guidance to individuals navigating the rehabilitation process, assisting with personal development plans.
• Medical Staff – Includes nurses and physicians who manage the health and wellness of detainees through regular check-ups and medical care.
• Administrative Support – Engages in various administrative tasks that ensure the center operates efficiently and effectively.
• Food Service Worker – Prepares and serves meals, ensuring all dietary needs are met in a safe and hygienic environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

Our ideal candidates exhibit the following qualifications and characteristics:

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in criminal justice or social work is a plus.
• Previous experience in a detention center, correctional facility, or social services is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress environment.
• Commitment to upholding our values of integrity, compassion, and respect.
• For certain positions, certification in CPR and First Aid may be required.
