Job Summary

The CNC Lathe Operator will be responsible for operating CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture components to precise specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure they are within defined tolerances and make adjustments as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC lathes and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Work collaboratively with other team members and communicate effectively with supervisors to ensure production targets are met.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide input on process enhancements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Proven experience operating CNC lathes (minimum two years preferred).
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and G-code interpretation.
• Proficient in the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
