What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

• Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and reports.
• Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and take measurements.
• Preparing tender documents and analyzing bids from contractors.
• Maintaining up-to-date records of costs and expenditures.
• Collaborating with project managers and contractors to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
• Supporting the procurement process and liaising with suppliers.
• Assisting in the preparation of interim applications for payment and final accounts.
• Contributing to feasibility studies and risk assessments.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Relevant internships or work experience in quantity surveying or a related discipline are preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of construction principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
