Position Overview
In the role of Cadastral Mapper, you will be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and managing detailed land information necessary for land ownership and usage purposes. Your work will ensure that our databases are accurate, up-to-date, and useful for a variety of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys and utilize GIS technology to collect, verify, and manage land and property boundaries.
- Maintain and update cadastral maps and databases in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with landowners, developers, and government agencies to resolve boundary disputes and clarify land ownership.
- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and others to create and modify accurate land parcels.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing cadastral data and mapping results.
- Stay current with legal changes and advancements in mapping technology to ensure best practices.
- Assist in project planning and execution, including budgeting and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cadastral mapping, land surveying, or GIS.
- Strong understanding of land laws and regulations.
- Proficient in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD software (AutoCAD).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
