Job Description

As a full-time English teacher, you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging lesson plans that meet the varied needs of our students. You will teach grammar, literature, writing, and comprehension, while also integrating technology into your lessons. Collaboration with fellow teachers to develop interdisciplinary lessons is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with established curriculum standards.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to create an engaging learning environment.
• Assess student progress and provide tailored feedback to facilitate growth and learning.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, promoting respect and understanding among students.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional strategies.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school activities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or licensure in English Language Arts (preferred).
• Previous teaching experience in a middle or high school setting (at least 2 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of English language and literature, with the ability to teach various genres.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for working with children and a commitment to their academic growth.
• Ability to use technology effectively in the classroom.
