Role Overview

As a Swimming Teacher with GLL, your primary role will be to deliver swimming lessons to participants of all ages and abilities. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone. Whether you’re teaching children to swim for the first time or helping adults improve their technique, your impact will be significant.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to the participant’s skill levels.
• Maintain a keen awareness of safety standards and emergency protocols at all times.
• Provide feedback to swimmers to aid in their progression and enhance their skills.
• Encourage a positive learning environment that fosters confidence and enjoyment in swimming.
• Engage with parents and guardians, offering guidance on their child’s development in swimming.
• Keep accurate records of lesson progress and attendance.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and management to improve program offerings.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• Current ASA Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching swimming to various age groups.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and their families.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
• An understanding of safeguarding and health and safety standards in a swimming environment.
• First Aid qualification (desirable but not mandatory).
