The Role
As a Machining Specialist, your role will involve operating CNC machines, working with various materials, and producing intricate parts that meet precise specifications. You will collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure that all products meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes and mills to manufacture parts according to provided blueprints and specifications.
- Conducting quality control inspections using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any machine-related issues or part discrepancies during the manufacturing process.
- Collaborating with engineers and project managers to improve production efficiency and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company safety regulations and best practices.
- Assisting in the training and development of junior machinists and apprentices as needed.
- Documenting production processes and maintaining accurate records of jobs completed.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with strong technical skills and a proven track record in machining. The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machining or a related area.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with various machining processes including turning, milling, and grinding.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to new challenges.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical degree or certification in machining is preferred.
