Job Responsibilities

As a Private Home Health Aide, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a warm and caring environment.
• Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with meal planning and grocery shopping as necessary.
• Administering medications and monitoring any changes in clients’ health under the direction of healthcare professionals.
• Supporting clients with mobility and physical therapy exercises as prescribed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Assisting with transportation to appointments, social activities, and errands.
• Communicating effectively with family members and the healthcare team regarding clients’ progress and needs.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a home health aide preferred.
• Prior experience in a home health care setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of patient care and the ability to follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• Physical stamina and strength to assist clients with mobility and physical tasks.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in the best interest of the client.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
